Mrs. Gaynell Thompson Blalock, 51 of Scottsboro passed away, Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Johnson and Rev. Steve Wilbanks officiating. Burial followed in Gant Cemetery. Mrs. Blalock is survived by her son, Josh Blalock; mother, Hattie Thompson; sister, Mary Little (Will) Ramey; brother, Sambo (Dana) Thompson, Jr.; several nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles; special cousin, Sue Harris. She was preceded in death by her father, Sambo Thompson; grandparents, Jake and Viola Smith, George and Susie Thompson.
