Mrs. Cynthia “Cindy” Livesay Batey, 62 of Scottsboro passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. She was a member of Center Point Baptist Church. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Center Point Baptist Church with Rev. David Moorman and Deby Wright officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Batey is survived by her sons, Jason (Misty) Foster, Jacob (Kristen) Foster; step-children, Tissia (Steve) Griffith, Richard (Angie) Batey; grandchildren, Sydney Foster, Stratton Foster, Stella Rose Foster, Sylas Foster; step-grandchildren, Kade Griffith, Madelyn Griffith, Gavin Batey, Matthew Batey; brothers, Frank (Sharon) Livesay, Cory (Debbie) Livesay; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Deby Wright, Denise Gothard, Raymond and Brenda Brandon, Sonya Larson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey W. Batey; parents, Frank Sr. and Peggy Livesay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the benevolence fund at Center Point Baptist Church, 2904 County Road 21, Scottsboro, Ala. 35768.
