Eloise Gist Broome Yeager, 92 of Scottsboro passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shandy Dill officiating. Interment followed at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
Eloise was a loving wife, mother, daughter, family member, teacher and friend. She was a respected business education teacher at Scottsboro High for many years and was admired and loved by her students and all who knew her for her kind, gentle guidance. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Scottsboro whose members provided much appreciated comfort and support during her illness. Special remembrance is also given to Brookdale Assisted Living of Huntsville, Highlands Health and Rehab and Heartlite Hospice of Scottsboro for their nurturing support and services.
She is survived by Cheryl Holder, Jacque Holder, Jennifer (Jason) Fields, Katharine Holder, Jackson Fields, Jacob Fields Sam Yeager, Tim Yeager, Mark Yeager, June Martin; many beloved extended family members. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Jack Broome, Dallas Yeager; parents, Roy D. Gist and Ola Gist; son-in-law, Billy Holder; siblings, Leroy Gist, Opal Chandler, Lois Foster; niece, Karen Weaver; nephews, Edward Chandler, Michael Foster.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Activities Department of Highlands Health and Rehab for use in the many special programs they provide for their residents.
