Marie Kennamer Bobb

Marie Kennamer Bobb, 77 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2021 after a valiant battle against cancer. Graveside services were held for the family on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Union Cemetery with Pastor Tommy Gray and Elder Darrell Chambers officiating. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Marie was born on Thursday, August 5, 1943 to Talmadge and Annie Mae Reed Kennamer. A graduate of Woodville High, she began her career at Thiokol in Huntsville. After retirement, she and her husband, Carroll moved to Utah where she helped plant Grace Bible Ministries before returning in 2010. She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church and a devoted member of women’s ministries there.
Marie was a devoted wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a lady of grace and compassion, and she loved her Alabama roll tide and Utah Jazz. Re, as she was affectionately known, could never quite finish telling a funny story without dissolving into giggles. She loved nature and all of God’s creations.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years; sons, Gary (Beth) Bobb, Randy (Cherie) Bobb, Andy Bobb; grandsons, Brandon, Logan, Alex, Wyatt, Austin; brother, Jimmy (Evie) Kennamer; nieces, Debbie Manning, Stephanie (Jerry) Davis; nephews, Ronnie (Lorrie) Perkins, Jody (Christa) Kennamer; a multitude of great-nieces and nephews and a great-great-niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Talma Ann (Darwin) Perkins; first husband, Wayne Thomas; nephew, Jimmy Manning.
The family would like to thank the many caregivers who showed great compassion for Marie during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association will be greatly appreciated.
