Leon Hays, 82 of Stevenson passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2020 at his residence. Funeral services were held Friday, May 29, 2020 at Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson with burial following in Long Acre Cemetery. Services were officiated by Brandon Evans.
He was the oldest of four children and was retired from Shaw Industries. Leon loved his family and friends. He loved to sing and take pictures and videos of his family and was a member of Campbell’s Chapel Church.
Leon is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce Hays; daughter, Tammy (Ronald) Tilley; sons, Jimmy (Kim) Hays, Jason Hays; sister, Renee (Ralph) Posey; nephews, Shawn (Brooke) Posey, Franklin (Ashley) Posey; grandchildren, Lisa Gamble, Candi Smith, Alex (Dianne) Hays, Dakota Clark, Eric (Christina) Hays, Michael (Judy) Hays, Adam (Lexie) Wininger, Codi Smith; several great-grandchildren who he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Wanda Hays; mother, Lacy Roberts; father, Bill Hays; brothers, Ray Roberts, James Roberts.
