Jack William Wilkie, age 56, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Joey Croft, was held on April 19, 2025.
Mr. Wilkie is survived by his mother, Jean Wilkie; sisters, Sherry (Danny) Newton and Laura Wilkie; nieces, Candise McKay and Morgan Newton; nephew, Daniel (Maddie)Newton; great nephew, Liam McKay; aunts, Peggy (Don) Koepnick and Joann McClure; as well as several cousins.
Mr. Wilkie was preceded in death by his father, Jack Corbett Wilkie.
Jack was born in Waynesville, North Carolina to Jack and Jean Wilkie. He graduated from Scottsboro High School in 1987. After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps and was stationed at New River Marine Base in Jacksonville, North Carolina. He was deployed to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia from 1990-1991 during Desert Storm where he was a helicopter crew chief. After the Marines, he became a truck driver with his beautiful dog Max at his side. He loved his job.
