23rd annual Catfish Festival to be held Saturday

The 23rd Annual Catfish Festival will be held this Saturday, May 18 at the Jackson County park beginning at 8 a.m. The event will include fun for the whole family and will be held rain or shine.

Guests will enjoy a variety of vendors including arts and crafts and jewelry vendors. There will be a free kids area including pony rides, inflatables, train rides and free fishing.

Food vendors present will include a wide variety items including hamburgers, hotdogs, nachos, homemade ice cream, fried pies, funnel cakes and catfish plates.

Entertainment will include The Bowmans and Barney Fife Woods.

During the event, there will be a car, truck, motorcycle and side-by-side show. Registration for the event will be $25 for all vehicles. Many awards will be given to recognize the best cars, trucks, motorcycles and side-by-sides.

50/50 tickets will be sold, and the winner will be drawn after the awards are presented.
