Spay Neuter Jackson County to hold auction fundraiser

Spay Neuter Jackson Co AL (SNJCA) will host their 5th auction fundraiser this month. The fundraiser will be an online auction starting Wednesday, June 19th and ending June 25th. This year’s fundraiser has over 140 items to bid on from art, music, sports, health and fitness, photography, home decor, restaurant gift cards and of course some great supplies for your pets. The auction also includes tickets and passes up for bid including the Tennessee Aquarium, Alabama Adventure & Splash Park, an actual Wheel of Fortune taping and the Botanical Gardens in Huntsville. You can even sponsor a spay or neuter surgery for a local animal in need. Many of the auction items were donated from local businesses, there is something for everyone! 

Proceeds from the auction will stay right here in Jackson County to help lower income, disabled residents, and senior residents spay and neuter their pets through their voucher program. SNJCA partners with Phillips Small Animal Clinic, Mud Creek Vet Services and Mountain Top Clinic who accept the vouchers. The surgery cost with a voucher is $30 for a cat and $40 for a dog. 

SNJCA has programs and events to help all pet owners. Residents who don’t qualify for a voucher can take advantage of their monthly transports to North Alabama Spay Neuter Clinic in Huntsville. The transport itself is free, you just pay the clinics discounted prices. More information on the transports and special events are on their Facebook page. Since becoming a nonprofit in 2017, SNJCA has helped over 3,450 pets with spay and neuter surgery.
