Mr. Verlin “Booter” Paskel Ashmore, 79 of Larkinsville, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 at his home. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. David Hill officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Booter was born on Friday, December 31, 1943 to Herman Paskel and Lora Hall. He loved singing, playing the guitar, painting gourds, his motorcycle and his little puppies.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Ashmore; son, Robbie (Karen) Ashmore; daughter, Wendy (Earl) Black; stepdaughters, Becky Porch, Virginia Claborn; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Waiting on him in Heaven are his first wife, Patricia Ashmore; parents; sisters, Wanda Moore, Lucille Johnson; several aunts, uncles and grandparents.
