Ms. Margaret Anne Devers, 64 of Scottsboro, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 following a short illness. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Scottsboro with Bro. Shandy Dill officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Margaret was a Scottsboro High and Auburn University graduate, where she earned her master’s degree. After moving back to Scottsboro, she worked for the Scottsboro City Board of Education, serving as the librarian at the junior high. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Scottsboro.
She is survived by her mother, Anne Devers; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Devers; brother, Donald Devers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Scottsboro, 215 South Andrews Street, Scottsboro, Ala.
