Three promoted at FSSB

STEVENSON– Jack Lovelady, President and Chief Executive Officer at First Southern State Bank, today announced the promotion of veteran bankers Larrian Mason, Mark O’Leary, and Sherry Jo Rogers.

Larrian Mason has been promoted to Vice President.   She is responsible for deposit operations, vendor management, procedures, and training, and serves as the Information Security Officer for the Bank’s Main Office and 9 branches.

Mason joined First Southern in 2005 as a Teller.  She holds a CBAA Graduate certificate from the Samford School of Business and is a graduate of Pisgah High School.  In her spare time, Mason enjoys camping and refinishing furniture.  She resides in Jackson County with her husband and two children. 

Mark O’Leary has been promoted to Assistant Vice President.   He is a Consumer Lender at the Stevenson Office and is responsible for supervising the Teller team.    

O’Leary joined First Southern in 2016 as a Loan Officer after serving in similar positions at Citizens Tri-County Bank, Pioneer Bank, North Jackson Bank, and Marion Trust & Banking Company and as the Finance and Insurance Manager for Gentry Chevrolet, all of South Pittsburg, Tennessee.  He holds certificates from Tennessee School of Banking at Vanderbilt University, and the Tennessee Bankers Association Consumer Lending School.  He earned an Associate Degree in Banking and Finance Administration from Northeast Alabama Community College, and is a graduate of South Pittsburg High School. 

O’Leary serves his community as the Chairman of the Town of Kimball Municipal Planning Commission, member of the Kimball Park Board, Past-President of the South Pittsburg Lions Club, and is a Charter member of the Marion County Sertoma Club.  He is a Deacon and a Moderator for the First Baptist Church of South Pittsburg.  O’Leary is a former coach for youth baseball, football, and travel softball for South Pittsburg.   He is married to Misty Daffron O’Leary, a Teacher at Jasper Elementary School. They share two adult children, Tanner and Erin, and reside in Kimball, Tennessee.

Sherry Jo Rogers has been promoted to Assistant Vice President.  She is responsible for loan operations for the Bank’s Main Office which supports the 9 branches. 

Rogers joined First Southern in 1990 as a Bookkeeper and Proof Operator.  She has served as a Teller, member of the Loan Department team, and Assistant Cashier.  She attended Jacksonville State University and is a graduate of Stevenson High School. 

Ms. Rogers is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Stevenson where she plays piano and keyboard, is a member of the choir, and serves on the Finance Committee.  She is married to Leonard Rogers of Stevenson and has two daughters and three grandchildren.
