Scottsboro announces Christmas Parade, Jingle Bell Square

The Scottsboro City Council, Scottsboro Mayor Jim McCamy, Main Street Scottsboro and the Mountain Lakes Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the annual Scottsboro Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 10, 2022. The event is sponsored by Google.
The theme for this year’s parade is the ‘12 Days of Christmas.’ The Parade Marshal will be Raymond Brandon who has portrayed Santa Claus at the parade for more than 20 years in addition to other great acts of service for our Veteran community. The parade will begin at the Trammell Football Stadium and end at the Square in downtown Scottsboro.

Those wishing to participate in the Christmas Parade can contact the Chamber at 407 E Willow Street between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. There is a $10 registration fee which will go towards the Chamber’s Angel Tree to purchase Christmas gifts for children within the local foster care system. Safety will be of upmost importance; candy will be allowed, but participants and attendees are asked to practice caution.

The Christmas Parade line-up will be at 3:30 p.m., and the parade will begin at 5 p.m.

Main Street Scottsboro’s 9th Annual Jingle Bell Square will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

This year, Jingle Bell Square marks the 120th anniversary of Trade Days in Scottsboro. Throughout the day there will be vendors, food, live music, inflatables for kids and horse and buggy rides on the Square. Vendors will be available from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. The bouncy house and slide will be available from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. The day will end with pictures with Santa in the bandstand from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. and horse and buggy rides around the Square from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
