Mr. Hugh “Hook” Clay Wade, 89 of Scottsboro passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Willmon and Rev. Ray Davis officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Wade is survived by his wife of 71 years, Mary Jones Wade; children, Michael (Cindy) Wade, Sue (Doug) Balch, Shannon (Tim) Dalton; grandchildren, Curtis (Keri) Porter, Nicholas (Kelli) Wade, Keli (Will) McInnes, Nakia (Wyatt) Dalton; great-grandchildren, Camden Porter, Addison Wade, Cohen Porter, Reegan Hawkins, Brayden Hawkins; sisters, Faye Medlen, Bonnie (Dough) Kirkpatrick; several nieces and nepehews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Wade; parents, Namon Wade and Della Holloway; brothers, Namon (Verna) Wade, Edd Wade; sisters, Ruby Wade, Betty (Bill) Walls, Geraldine (Willis) Brown.
