Mary Lee Edwards McCrary, born on Saturday, May 30, 1942, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Rudder Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson with Rev. Jeff Nelson officiating. Burial followed at Stevenson City Cemetery.
Mary was a 1960 graduate of Stevenson High School and graduated nursing school in 1988. She was also the Former Director of Nursing at North Jackson Hospital and a member of Battle Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy McCrary; daughter, Tamari McCrary (Jeff) Nelson; grandchildren, Jocqueline Holder, Shivon Long, Marque Holder, Tristan Holder, SGT. Thomas Dylan Nelson, ret., Abby Nelson; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Bobbye Edwards McCrary; son-in-law, Floyd Holder; brothers and sister-in-law, Jim and Brenda McCrary, Ann and Danny Saint, Diane McCrary and Ina Faye McCrary; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by his parents, John Edwards and Willie Davis Edwards; daughter, Tomala Holder; granddaughter, Molly Katherine Nelson; sister-in-law, Opal Lee Phillips; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Rayford McCrary, Wayne McCrary, Carlie McCrary, Gentry Phillips; father and mother-in-law, Thomas Benton and Fannie McCrary.
