Charles Rayburn Lemaster

Charles Rayburn Lemaster, age 83, passed away on April 26, 2025. Funeral services were held on April 30, 2025 from the Grant Memorial Chapel. Bro. Anthony Barnes officiated.
Mr. Lemaster is survived by by his wife, Carolyn Lemaster; his son, Danny (Carissa) Lemaster; his grandchildren, Trent (Taylor) Lemaster, Brooke (Trey) Frazier, and Layna (Colin) Gilliland; and his great-grandchildren, Brooks Lemaster, Jax, Brayden, and Beckham Frazier, and Ellison Gilliland; his siblings, James (Doris) Lemaster, Sam (Wanda) Lemaster, Carolyn (Granville) Helton, Joe (Glenda) Lemaster, Linda (Ronnie) Vaughn, and Donna Lemaster.
Mr. Lemaster was preceded in death by his parents, Edd and Otha Lemaster, and siblings, Alma Jean Allen and Shelvy Lemaster.
Rayburn lived a full and joyful life dedicated to his family, hard work, and helping others. He married the love of his life, Carolyn (Cooper) Lemaster, and together they built a beautiful family and a lifetime of memories. They would have celebrated 60 wonderful years of marriage on June 26, 2025. Rayburn was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved his family more than anything.
He had a hardworking spirit that shone through in everything he did. In 1967, he began building houses, and on June 1, 1975, he started a long and rewarding career at NASA, where he worked until his retirement on April 30, 2010.
Outside of work, Rayburn enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing in his pond, attending horse shows, barrel racing, and even drag racing. He found great joy in creating Christmas silhouettes, a hobby that highlighted his creativity and love for the holidays.
Rayburn had a sharp sense of humor and a heart full of kindness, always ready to lend a hand without expecting anything in return. His determination and generosity touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
