The family extends their special appreciation to Walker’s best friend Ralph (Amber) Warren who loved Walker like a brother and was his constant companion and his avid hunting partner.
When Walker met Carol, he was only 14 years old. To say she was “the love of his life” does not begin to describe the love between these two. A more apt description is that Carol was the only woman that ever existed in Walker’s universe. Carol loved, supported, and spoiled Walker constantly and she made sure he had everything he really wanted. Carol was always happiest when she was with Walker as they hunted and fished together. For fifty-three wonderful and blessed years, Walker and Carol truly had fun together while they worked and raised their family.
Walker worked at Fieldcrest-Cannon and HTPG in Scottsboro where he made life-long friends that added warmth and laughter throughout his life.
Walker believed in living every day God granted him to the fullest, never wasting a glorious, sunny day. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding aimlessly on his motorcycle to no particular destination, just going where his mood took him.
