Travis Gamble, age 62, passed away on March 18, 2025. Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from the Grant Memorial Chapel. Bro. Nicky Willmon officiated. Interment followed in the Kelly Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Gamble is survived by his wife, Pam Farr Gamble; dad, Ray Gamble; two sisters, Pat (Jackie) Guffey and Tammie (Joey) Avans; two brothers, Ricky (Joan) Gamble and Tim (Rhonda) Gamble; two cats that he loved, Oreo and Cookie; dear friend, Jeff Willmon; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and a host of friends.
Mr. Gamble was preceded in death by his mom, Imogene Guffey Gamble; grandparents, Paul D. Gamble, Eula Mae Gamble, Doc Guffey and Rosa Lee Guffey.
Travis Dean Gamble was born in Jackson County, Alabama on February 21, 1963 to Ray and Imogene Guffey Gamble.
Travis spent most of his life on the farm at “upper end” in the Kelly Chapel Community. The farm held a special place to Travis who still spent a lot of time there. Travis enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was fishing or hunting or working on heavy equipment with his dad or just being at the farm. Travis had a knack for remembering people, places, and events. He was a friend to so many and truly loved his family deeply. With his heart of gold, Travis will forever be remembered for always helping others.
