Mrs. Kathleen Keller Thomas, age 91 of Scottsboro, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024. Funeral services were held on Monday, December 30, 2024 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Jimmy Garner and Dr. Matt Helms officiated. Interment follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by her daughter Deborah Thomas (Larry)Forrest ; granddaughter, Teresa Forrest (Jeff) Hancock ; great grandchildren, Laura Beth Hancock (Drake) McClendon and Forrest Hancock; nephew, Jimbo Keller; niece, Julie Keller Ritter; and several great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Mack Thomas; father, John Keller ; mother, Gertie Garner Keller; brother, James Keller; and sister-in-law Nellie Eakin Keller.
Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She also loved her church, Calvary Baptist of Scottsboro, where she had been an active member until her health declined. She for many years taught the 4yr old pre-school Sunday School and was also the director of that age group. She loved her Savior Jesus and made it known to many in her last years, she wanted to go to Heaven.
