In celebration of Alabama’s “Don’t Drop it on Alabama”, Spring Clean-up month, City of Scottsboro officials and Caldwell’s Leadership Legends have partnered with PALS (People Against a Littered State) and are hosting a community clean up day. The community clean up day will be held on Saturday, April 27.
The City of Scottsboro and Caldwell’s Leadership Legends are asking for volunteers for the day. Anyone who would like to participate should meet at the Scottsboro City Hall at 8:30 a.m.. Each volunteer will be provided with the necessary cleaning supplies and sign any liability forms required.

The event will begin promptly at 9 a.m. with the target area being Willow Street. The event will end at 1 p.m. with a trash weigh in at City Hall.

Alabama PALS is a 501c3 not-for-profit statewide organization dedicated to providing and implementing anti-litter programs for all Alabama counties, cities, communities, schools and other groups striving to enhance their environmental and economic impact through a litter-free, cleaner and more beautiful environment. Being a member is not necessary. ALPALS has been working diligently since 1987 to create a litter-free Alabama. The organization has worked with hundreds of thousands of volunteers to pick up millions of pounds of litter to help improve Alabama and its communities.
