Highlands Foundation Gala set for Feb. 10th

The Highlands Foundation will hold its annual Winter Gala on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the Goose Pond Civic Center. Doors will open at 6 p.m. The gala will feature the Juice Band and a prime rib dinner, with dancing and entertainment until 11 p.m. Individual tickets for the event are $60 and may be purchased from any Highlands Foundation Board Member or at these locations: Section Pharmacy, Woods Cove Florist, Highlands Medical Center Gift Shop and Highlands Medical Center HR Welcome Center.

The Highlands Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that exists to unite the community with our hospital. The Foundation aims to ensure that the quality of healthcare in Jackson County grows by providing funds to Highlands Medical Center for the purchase of equipment and facility needs. Highlands Medical Center is a not-for-profit organization that serves the health care needs of Jackson County and the surrounding areas.

The 2024 event hopes to build upon the success of the 2023 Gala which sold out and raised over $43,000 for the Highlands Maternity Center. Additionally, two new fetal monitors were installed, allowing Maternity Center nurses to check an unborn baby’s heart rate before and during labor.

This year’s gala is dedicated to raising funds for a pediatric vital sign monitor for the pediatric clinic and a bariatric bed for the intensive care unit.

There are several levels of sponsorship available. A table sponsorship of $600 will receive 8 gala tickets and business logo on the table. A bronze sponsorship of $1,500 receives 4 gala tickets and business logo on backdrop in small print and in the program. A silver sponsorship of $2500 receives 8 gala tickets and business logo on backdrop in medium print and in the program. A gold sponsorship is $5,000 and receives 12 gala tickets, business logo on backdrop in medium print and in the program, and a table at the front. A platinum sponsorship is $7,500 and includes 16 gala tickets, business logo on backdrop in large print and in the program, and a table at the front.

Anyone interested in sponsoring the event is asked to reach out to Kaylyn Graham at kgraham@hmcnet.org or call 256-218-3818. The sponsorship form to the right can also be filled out and returned to the Highlands Foundation at PO Box 1050, Scottsboro, AL 35768.
