Nolen Leon Shelton, age 85 of Scottsboro, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Funeral services were held on Friday, December 1, 2023 from the Rudder Funeral Home chapel. Rev. Douglas N. Shelton and Rev. David Cofield officiated. Interment followed in the Pinehaven Memorial Gardens, with Military Honors.
Mr. Shelton is survived by his wife, Betty Shelton; daughter, Sherry (David) Holiman; son, Douglas (Carrie) Shelton; grandchildren, Jonathan (Nicole) Shelton, Ashley (Weston) Mason, Matthew (Sarah) Shelton, Nicholas Shelton, Sarah (Cody) Martin, Andrew Holiman; great grandchildren, Audrey Shelton, Zane Shelton, Camryn Mason, Collin Mason, Cadence Martin, Cameron Ludin, Sara Munson, Blayne Munson; sister, Mary Johnson; brother, Alvie (Pat) Shelton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Shelton and Evie Shelton; grandson, Noah Holiman; sisters, Pauline Wininger, Ruth Crowe, Loretta Hancock; brothers, Delbert Shelton and Julian Shelton.
