George Eldridge Mitchell, Jr., age 94 of Decatur, passed away on August 8, 2023. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from the Section Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Chaney Chapel.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his sons, Mark Mitchell; sisters, Betty Wooten and Gracie Sauers; grandchildren, Marley (Jordy) Fleming, Anna Leigh (Dan) Creighton, Jake Mitchell; great grandchildren, Nash Fleming and Hollin Fleming.
Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Holloway Mitchell; parents, Mary Lou Rowe and George Eldridge Mitchell, Sr.; siblings, Laura Ball, Bud Mitchell, Charles Mitchell, Donald “Dub” Mitchell, Clara Mitchell, Billy Mitchell and Mac Mitchell.
