Mr. James “Jim” R. Davis, 66 of Scottsboro and formerly of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, born on Wednesday, September 8, 1956, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023. The family will hold private graveside services in Barton’s Creek Cemetery.

Jim, or Pud, as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, graduated from McGavock High in 1975 and went on to work in the HVAC business, a trade he inherited from his father. Jim would own and operate Jim Davis Heating and Air for the next 40-plus years. He was an avid angler, a hobby that brought him much joy. He lived for a period of time on Kentucky Lakes and later moved to Alabama to be near the waters of Lake Guntersville.

He leaves behind his life partner, Ms. Lorna O’Rourke; children, Cora (Brian) Farris, John (Brittany) Davis; mother, Shirley Davis; grandchildren, Regan Farris, Riley, Aubrie, Bentley, Emmalie Davis. He was preceded in death by his father, James Davis.
