Mr. Sam Vance, 73 of Dutton, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.Funeral services were held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with Evangelist Jeremy Ivey officiating. Burial followed in Friendship Cemetery.

He is survived by his sons, Stephen (Felicia) Sankles, Anthony (Sheila) Shankles, Jeffery (Lynn) Shankles; daughters, Samantha (Thomas) Hancock, April (Blake) Thomas; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; special friends, Mary Sargent, James Manis.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Vance; son, Shannon Shankles; granddaughter, Yvonne Shankles; parents, Robert and Mattie Vance; siblings, Winnel (Junior) Jean, Carolyn (Claude) Smith, Lida Vance.
