City extends state of emergency

Scottsboro City Council voted on several items at the last work session and regular meeting held on Monday, April 27, 2020. Council voted to extend the state of emergency, on the city level, through Monday, May 18, 2020.

Highlands employees test positive for COVID-19

City and County leaders and medical officials held a press conference via Facebook yesterday to update citizens about the COVID-19 outbreak and response. During the press conference Dr. Lonnie Albin, Cheif Medical Officer of Highlands Medical Center, confirmed that four employees of Highlands had tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
