It’s always a struggle when a cold front hits your lake in the middle of winter. Suddenly, your lake surface temperature drops a bunch, it’s uncomfortable, and your mind plays games with you during this cold time.
Glorifying God by our worship

Through the ages, mankind has constantly sensed the existence of a supreme intelligence in our Universe. This realization has come in part from our physical surroundings. In the long ago, David said “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork” (Psa. 19:1).
It’s no secret that most anglers struggle during the cold of the winter months, and there is a reason for it. The fish move into groups along with the baitfish, and getting them to bite requires some work.
Because if you look around, life is really beautiful…
Did you know that we eat with our eyes? It’s true. I have started a new job where I am preparing lunch plates for some folks. Whether its soup or a meal, I take great pains to make the plate visually appealing. I fan the crackers out around the soup bowl, sit the cornbread at just the right angle on the plate. They laugh at me, y’all, but I don’t care.
Letting go of the person who controlled you
Abuse takes a hold on people not just physically but mentally. Victims of abuse say broken bones heal faster than the emotional scars that last a lifetime.
