After competing in a pre-season tournament at Lee that began last week, the Scottsboro Wildcats baseball team will begin its regular season play on Friday against Albertville.

After playing Albertville and DAR on the road, the Wildcats will then host Plainview in its first home game of the season on March 2.

As for the softball Cats, their season will begin with a tournament at Hazel Green this weekend.

After the tournament, the Wildcats will host Plainview in their first home game of the season on March 1.

Both the softball team and the baseball team will be looking to win area play this year.

Their area opponents this season will be Arab, Madison County and Fort Payne.
