The Scottsboro Police Department is now accepting applications for the annual Citizens Police Academy. The program consists of eight weeks of hands on classroom activities and is designed to give citizens a better understanding of law enforcement.
Applications may be picked up at the Police Department at 916 South Broad Street and must be returned by February 17. All applicants will be notified by e-mail or mail upon acceptance for the class. For info contact Officer Gary Shavers at 574-4468, extension 345.
