Cats fall to Madison County, beat Etowah |

The Scottsboro Lady Wildcats went 1-1 last week in action on the hardwood. The Lady Cats now 9-12 for the season fell to Madison County in a last second thriller last Tuesday night, 42-39.
Rachel Gass led Scottsboro in scoring with 18 points while Katie Kirkland chipped in ten points. The Lady Cats fell to 0-5 in area play with the loss. Scottsboro bounced back in the win column on Friday night, as the Lady Cats defeated Etowah 37-29. After taking on Arab and Guntersville this week, the Lady Cats will host Albertville on Friday night. The varsity boys’ team also went 1-1 this past week. The Wildcats struggled on the road against Madison County, losing 56-39. Blake Paradise led the team in scoring with 17 points while Ben Word finished with 14 points. The Wildcats did manage to beat Etowah on Friday night to push their record to 9-12 for the season. Scottsboro will host North Jackson on Feb. 1 in its final home game of the regular season.
