The Scottsboro Animal Shelter will hold a pet adoption event Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. The event will be held at Tractor Supply located on South Broad Street in Scottsboro. Dogs currently at the shelter will be available for adoption. Everyone is invited to attend.

Nursing students from Northeast Alabama Community College recently participated in a KidCheck health screening program for children attending Collins Middle School of the Scottsboro City School System; Wills Valley, Williams Elementary, and Fort Payne Middle schools of the Fort Payne City School System, and DAR Elementary and Middle schools of the Marshall County School System.
