Photography contest entries now accepted

Once again the Scottsboro Three Arts Club will be hosting a photography contest during the Annual Art in the Park on Sunday prior to Labor Day.

 

Graduation for NACC set for May 10

Northeast Alabama Community College’s forty-seventh graduation ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m.  Friday, May 10, 2013, at the Northeast Alabama AgriBusiness Center on Highway 75 in Rainsville.

   

Current version of GED test expires at end of 2013

Some major changes are coming to the General Education Development (GED®) test when the current version expires at the end of 2013.

   

NACC Awards Day set for April 29

Awards Day at Northeast Alabama Community College (NACC) will be on Monday, April 29, 2013, at 10 am in the Tom Bevill Lyceum on campus.

   

Former state senator arrested

 

Attorney General Luther Strange announced in a press release the arrests today of former State Sen. Lowell Ray Barron and Barron’s former campaign staffer, Rhonda Jill Johnson, for Ethics Law and Fair Campaign Practices Act violations. Johnson, 47, was arrested by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and agents of the Attorney General’s Office. Barron, 71, surrendered this afternoon at the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
