So what’s up for the 2011 Fall trends?  Seventies fashion remains high on the fashion lists and is a carryover from 2010.  As for fashion this Fall denim, is again big, big and it is coming in all colors and styles.

Flip through any fashion magazine these days and it is apparent that feather hair extensions, those colorful, clip-on plumes worn by celebrities from Steven Tyler to Selena Gomez, have become the latest hairstyle trend.  But the demand for feather hair extensions has taken off so dramatically and unexpectedly that salons and rooster farmers are struggling to keep up.  Roosters only grow one set of quality saddle feathers in their lifetime and to minimize any pain or discomfort, some doctors put the birds to sleep while they are pulling the feathers.

Okay, here are some answers to questions that have come my way about the sanitation of pedicure chairs.  The Bureau of Barbering and Cosmetology requires that salons using whirlpool pedicure spas use the following disinfecting procedures to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of the equipment and to prevent bacterial infection.  

   

It’s styling - 07/20/11

I wanted to rerun an article on Hyaluronic Acid since I have had numerous people comment on what their experiences have been since taking the supplement or applying the serum to the skin.  One of my customers has experienced more movement in her finger joints and another has noticed improvement in knee movement. Several individuals using it for moisturizing the skin have experienced improvement.  I also want to let you know that the dosage recommended with the supplements is between 20mg to 50mg daily. Again, always remember to check with your doctor for any possible drug interactions.
