Sittin' & Knittin'

Sittin’ and knittin’ - 01/05/11

New Year’s has come and gone. I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and will have a happy and prosperous New Year.

Sittin’ and knittin’ - 12/29/10

With Christmas over, we’ll get back to afghan squares. Over the next several weeks, you are going to be given different patterns that you can incorporate into an afghan. You will knit each pattern into a square and when you have the desired number, you can sew them together. Not only will you have a finished attractive piece of beauty and practicality, but you will have learned various patterns that can be used in sweaters, scarves, dresses, skirts, afghans, etc. Each pattern stitch will have a number for purposes of identification.

Sittin’ and knittin’ - 12/22/10

Although we are making an afghan square this week, it has a Christmas motif. The center is a Christmas tree.

Sittin’ and knittin’ - 12/15/10

With Christmas upon us, here are directions for four Christmas decorations. These can be hung on your tree or used to decorate packages. In any case, enjoy!
