Sittin' & Knittin'

Sittin’ and knittin’ - 04/20/11

Now, it’s back to afghan squares. Over the next several weeks, you are going to be given different patterns that you can incorporate into an afghan. You will knit each pattern into a square and when you have the desired number, you can sew them together. Not only will you have a finished attractive piece of beauty and practicality, but you will have learned various patterns that can be used in sweaters, scarves, dresses, skirts, afghans, etc. Each pattern stitch will have a number for purposes of identification.

As we discussed last week, we will continue with the directions for the pair of Hunter‘s Mittens. We will begin where we left off.

Sittin’ and knittin’ - 04/06/11

I have a book called “Knit Something Special” for years. I have made many of the things that are in it but never the item I’m sharing with you today. I will be giving you the directions for a pair of Hunter Mittens. There is a special slot for the thumb and index finger - the shooting finger, if you will. If you have a hunter in the family, it would make a good Christmas gift.

Sittin’ and knittin’ - 03/30/11

I have had a few requests for my bunny pattern so here it is. This should give you time to make several before Easter. Each one takes about an hour and stands and covers an egg.
