County Commission approves combining water authorities

The Jackson County Commission approved a motion that allows North Jackson Water Authority and Sand Mountain Water Authority to merge with DeKalb- Jackson Water Supply District at its last meeting.

The Scottsboro City Council held both a work session and a meeting last Monday night.  At the work session, the council continued an ongoing conversation concerning options for a fire burning ordinance.
