Team Xplode storms through valley

The 8 and under youth league travel ball team named Team Xplode from Scottsboro have been together for a little over a year now, and what a year it has been. They started playing together in February of 2012 and have developed into a squad that is putting up impressive numbers so far this year.

County administrator contract terminated

County Administrator Sandra Erickson was placed on administrative leave on Wednesday, May 22 after Commission Chairman Matthew Hodges asked her to leave the commission office that morning. She remained on paid leave when commissioners continued the May 28 meeting until June 10.

   

Woodville community gains new health clinic

Nurse practitioner Matthew McCauley had little time to socialize at the open house of Woodville’s new health clinic last Monday as he went from exam room to exam room meeting with new patients.

   

County administrator still on leave

On Tuesday, the Jackson County Commission voted once again to continue its May 28 meeting in regard to Chairman Matthew Hodges’s personnel recommendation, which purportedly concerns County Administrator Sandra Erickson.
