Committee makes recommendation for Plantation

During last week’s Scottsboro City Council work session, Council Member Keith Smith recommended the council pass a resolution for the Goose Pond Board to remain in control of Goose Pond Plantation Pointe Golf Course  and the golf course remain a public golf course until the bonds issued on the golf course have been satisfied.

Council members Keith Smith and Carol McCrary were appointed to a committee to review and make a recommendation to the council on how the council should proceed on the issue.

The $2.2 million bonds were issued approximately 12 years ago and are expected to be satisfied in 2023.
