Deshler downs Chiefs in semi finals

The North Jackson Chiefs’ bid for a state championship came to an abrupt halt on Friday night.

The loss ends North Jackson’s season with a 13-1 record.

The Tigers struck first by scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter.

The Chiefs rallied to tie the game at 14-14 in the third quarter, but the Tigers scored twice, once in the third quarter and once in the fourth quarter, to take the victory.

The Chiefs’ touchdowns  came from passes by Zac Barnard.

The first touchdown was a four-yard pass to Montel Hale and the second was a 67-yard hookup to Kahne Cooper.
