Can-a-thon to benefit Salvation Army of Jackson County

WAFF Channel 48 of Huntsville is sponsoring a Can-a-thon in Jackson County that will benefit the Salvation Army of Jackson County.

The Salvation Army of Jackson County provides food for families in need. When food supplies at the Jackson County Salvation Army are low, the agency buys food so it never has to turn its hungry clients away. When you make a donation to the WAFF 48 Heart of the Valley Can-a-thon you are helping the Salvation Army of Jackson County preserve its precious funds to support the other quality programs it offers in the community.

The Can-a-thon will be held at Wal-Mart on Highway 72 in Scottsboro on December 2.

Tracey Ridgeway, Director of the Jackson County Salvation Army said, “If you are unable to bring your cans on December 2, please bring your cans to the store.

We need the food now more than ever.  Our pantries are low and the holidays are right around the corner.”
