What is a “Loub Job”?  Cheryl Burgess M.D., a clinical professor of dermatology at Georgetown University started helping HIV patients by injecting their feet with fillers since HIV patients lose fat in their feet.  Word of this got out and now Dr. Burgess does fat transfers and other fillers like Sculptra to help women be more comfortable in their Christian Louboutin shoes.
According to Burgess, another popular foot fix is botox injections to correct hammer toes. With hammertoes there is a bend in the middle joint of the toe and the botox relaxes this.  She also uses botox to treat excessive smelly, sweaty feet.  Botox has already proven to be effective in treating excess underarm sweating.
There is a new interest in fixing feet so women can get their feet in fashionable spiky high heels.  Some women have their feet liposuctioned to get their toes slimmer so they will fit into some shoes.  There is an uptrend to even have toes shortened or just removed so feet can be more accommodating to shoes.  Other foot fixes are using lasers to reduce or rid feet of fungus and/or hair that might grow on the toes.
Not everyone is on board with these foot fixes.  The American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society is against any type of foot surgery since it can result in nerve damage to the foot. Everyone loves a well groomed foot so take care of your feet just like you do your face.
