To those of you who are on the road to recovery we say:
Welcome to the thrilling road trip to recovery and sobriety. You are in for a treat! During this trip you will experience the love of people around you and of Jesus Christ. You will feel many things, some good, some bad, before you reach the end of your journey.
Do not feel that you are alone. Many who have taken this trip before you experienced the same things you will be experiencing but through it all, every minute of every day, the Holy Spirit will be right there by your side.
He is what will make the difference so hang on around the curves, up the hills and down into the valleys. The destination is worth it. You’ll see. You will be blessed, those around you will be blessed and your family will be blessed.
With your healing comes responsibility and accountability. You must be honest and truthful to yourself and to those who love you. It is time to come clean in more ways than one, time to become truly clean inside and out. Shed the old garments and put on the new. It is a new day.
There will be a lot of hard work, a lot of praying, a lot of laughing and a lot of rejoicing as you reach the end of your journey. But most of all you will be filled with the Holy Spirit and have unimaginable joy in your soul...CS
