Wesley Hardman, RPT, has been elected to the office of Southeastern Region Vice-President for the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG).
Hardman will serve in the position through July 2013 representing the interests of piano technicians, promoting educational opportunities and serving as a goodwill ambassador to the piano community. He will also be directly involved with administration and long-term planning for the PTG.
“I’m extremely honored to serve,” Hardman said. “Piano Technicians service a wide variety of clients and pianos. But they share a single vision in wanting to provide the best service they can and to be successful while doing so. I’m excited in helping to chart a plan that allows them to do so.”
A resident of Scottsboro since 1974, Hardman provides services such as piano tuning, piano repair, piano regulation, touch-weight analysis, installation of humidity control systems, key tops replacement, polyester repair, string replacement, piano hammer replacement, and piano evaluation.
Hardman earned the Registered Piano Technicians designation in 2004. The Piano Technicians Guild grants the Registered Piano Technician (RPT) credential after a series of rigorous examinations that test skill in piano tuning, regulation and repair. The Piano Technicians Guild is the world’s premier source of piano service expertise. It promotes the highest possible standards of piano service by providing opportunities for professional development, by recognizing technical competence through examinations and by advancing the interests of its nearly 4,000 members.
