John Elmer Pittman, 80 of Scottsboro, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Larry Lockard officiated. Interment followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Pittman is survived by his wife, Ina Sue Allen Pittman, of Scottsboro; sons, Dwain Pittman, of Scottsboro, and Michael D. Pittman, of N.C.; daughter, Marsha Clough, of N.C.; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Paul Pitman, of Winfield, and Freddy Pittman, of Decatur; sister, Evelyn Hammons, of Cullman; and several nieces and nephews.
