Tickets are on sale now for the Northeast Alabama Community College Music on the Mountain Bluegrass Festival to be held on Saturday, August 4th in the Tom Bevill Lyceum on campus. A jam session, folk artists, and food begin at 3 pm. Bands begin performances at 6 pm. Join us for a special evening of music with headline performers The Claire Lynch Band.
The Claire Lynch Band is high on the bluegrass world’s A-List, with musicians whose accolades include two International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMAS) Female Vocalist of the Year awards and two Grammy nominations for Best Bluegrass Album (Claire); the MerleFest Doc Watson Guitar Champion (Matt Wingate); two IBMA Bass Player of the Year awards (Mark Schatz) and an unprecedented triple first-place win at the Winfield Kansas National Flatpicking Championship on guitar, fiddle and mandolin (Bryan McDowell).
Also performing will be Foggy Hollow and Kelli Johnson & Sweetwater Road.
Glen Williams is the only remaining original member of the Foggy Hollow band. He and his wife live in Webster’s Chapel in Calhoun Co. Al. home of the Foggy Hollow Farm. They are co-founders of the Foggy Hollow Bluegrass Gatherin’.
