Richard C. “R.C.” Henshaw, 96 of Bridgeport, passed away Monday, July 02, 2012. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at the Rudder Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Richard Goss and Alacare Hospice Chaplain Neal Smith officiated. Interment and military honors followed at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tenn.

Mr. Henshaw is survived by his wife, Annie Kate Henshaw; daughters, Betty (Chester) Tate, of Tenn., Brenda (Don) Cunningham and Sheila Kennamer, both of Bridgeport; son, Lester (Lavonne) Henshaw, of Bryant; sister, Katherine Roberts, of Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. Mr. Henshaw was preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas and Fannie Elizabeth Cooper Henshaw; brothers, Soloman Henshaw, Stanley Henshaw, Lafollette Henshaw and Henry Henshaw; and sister, Edith Barton.
