On Tuesday July 10th, 2012, Dustin Ortega, age 27 of Owens Cross Roads, and Lori Ann Lougheed, age 43 of Madison, were arrested by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and charged with first degree receiving stolen property. The couple was in possession of a 2010 GMC Sierra Pickup Truck which was reported stolen from Owens Cross Roads on the previous night. The truck was recovered using the “Onstar” feature which led Jackson County Investigators to the 6000 block of US Highway 72 in Woodville. The truck and its contents were valued at over $30,000 and were released to the owners.

Bond was set at $5,000 for each defendant. Both remain in custody.
