Eula Cates Downey, 94 of Scottsboro, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012. Funeral services were held Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Scottsboro First United Methodist Church. Dr. Stevens Screws officiated. Interment followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Downey is survived by sons, Kim (Mary Anne) Downey, of N.C., George David (Donna) Downey, of Fla., and Steven (Jane) Timothy, of Ky.; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Downey was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin “Hank” Downey; and her parents and siblings.
