Syble Melzonia Fowler Rowell, 89 of Grove Oak, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2012. Funeral services were held Monday, May 7, 2012 at the W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Mike Springfield officiated. Interment followed in Greens Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Rowell is survived by her sisters, Wilma Davis, of Gadsden, Frances (David) Downer, of Fort Payne, and Vera (Gerald) Westmoreland, of Collinsville; and brothers, Irby Fowler, of Grove Oak, Alvin (Perlene) Fowler, of Boaz, James (Sue) Fowler, of Glenco, and Herbert (Margie) Fowler, of Dutton. Mrs. Rowell was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Rowell; parents, James and Agnes Fowler; brother, Vernon Fowler; and sisters, Irene Broadhead and Julia Smith.
