His ears are open to their cries for help.
But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth.
The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help.
He rescues them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
He rescues those who are crushed in spirit.
The righteous face many troubles,
But the Lord rescues them from each and every one.”
Many times when we cry out to the Lord believing he will rescue us and we fail to get an answer we must remember He knows best.
Maybe not what is best for us but what is best period. If we pray for someone to be healed maybe the Lord decides that person has suffered enough and takes him home to be with him in heaven. He knows all and sees all. We selfishly want to keep them here with us but the Lord sees their suffering and decides they have had enough and takes them to a better place where there is no suffering.
Psalm 39; l2:l3:
“Hear my prayer, O Lord!
Listen to my cries for Help!
Don’t ignore my tears.
For I am your guest—
A traveler passing through,
As my ancestors were before me,
Spare me so I can smile again
Before I am gone and exist no more.”
Even though we know He knows best we still cry out:
Psalm 55; l-2:
“Listen to my prayer, O God,
Do not ignore my cry for help!
Please listen and answer me,
For I am overwhelmed by my troubles…”
