EPCOT students to be featured on On the Job

Students in David Cunningham’s HVAC/R Technology Class at the Ernest Pruett Center for Technology will be featured in an upcoming episode of On the Job.

On the Job is a television show produced by AIDT, a member of the Alabama Community College System, and reaches over five million viewers in the Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee area.

Bobby Jon Drinkard, host of On the Job, said the show is designed to give Alabama citizens a look at what jobs are available and the training required to obtain these jobs. “No stone will be left unturned when it comes to showcasing overlooked jobs and employment opportunities,” said Drinkard.

“On the Job provides an educational and informative outlet designed to give Alabama citizens a look at jobs available to them and the education and skills required to get these jobs and improve their lives,” stated Drinkard.

Students, Jeffery Johnson, 17 of Section, Mario Acevedo, 17 of Flat Rock, Bradley Higdon, 18 of Higdon, Shade Casey, 15 of Pisgah and Teacher David Cunningham will be featured in an episode, set to air after January 2011.

The students will be demonstrating a brazing project, super heat and airflow project, electrical troubleshooting and the general information the students are taught in the shop.

On the Job airs on Alabama Public Television on Sundays at 12:30 p.m. and Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. on NBC affiliate WSFA-TV’s Digital Station of 12.2.
